About IOOC

International Olive Oil Competition

As part of IOE-The 18th China （Guangzhou） International Edible Oil & Olive Oil Expo, will be held on 14-16 June 2024, organized by Guangzhou Yi Fan Exhibition Co., Ltd.The Administration Committee of“ International Olive Oil Competition 2024 China” is under supervised by China Oils and Fats, China Chamber of Commerce of I/E of Foodstuff, Native Produce and Animal By-products （CNFA） and Guangdong Grain Industry Association. The juries panel consists of a Tasting Committee, comprising tasters from international and domestic experts, includingjuries from Italy, Spain, Greece, Tunisia, Chile, etc.

01Certification for participation

Only‘ Extra Virgin Olive Oil’ in original bottles are certified for participation. The submitted olive oils must correspond to the Chinese legislation or the related standards of IOOC as well as the regulations valid in the production countries.

02Registration & Fees

Each participant must send the samples following by courier and/or post by May 15th 2024 to the committee office.

03Classifying & Certificates

Olive Oils that shown on ernative deviations correspond totally to the demanded quality for‘ Extra Virgin Olive Oils’. In dependence of the evaluation of the general impression of harmony an award will be distinguished. Award categories for extra virgin olive oil and organic extra virgin olive oil are the following:

04Winners benefit

• The awarded oil will be on display at the show area for visitors during IOE-The 18th China （Guangzhou） International Edible Oil & Olive Oil Expo, from June 14-16, 2024.
• We will use awarded oil to make some dishes to offer a tasting for visitors, and will also invite an international olive oil expert, with a translator on the tasting area to teach how to recognize a good extra virgin olive oil.
• Present to the public and media.
• Recommend to consumers, importers, wholesalers, agents, etc.
• To assist the winners in promoting the awarded olive oil, the organizer permits 2024 winners to freely use the logo of the award stickers on the bottles of olive oil that is awarded.
